One recent project in Indianapolis perfectly reflects this mission.
A Meaningful Window Upgrade for a 1920s Indianapolis Home
Jonathan, a homeowner in Indianapolis, lives in a house built in the 1920s. While rich in character, the home’s original wood, hinged windows in the home office had become drafty and inefficient, allowing cold air in and warmth out — especially during Indiana winters.
To help improve comfort and safety, The Window Source of Indy donated both materials and sweat equity (labor) through Rebuilding Together, replacing the outdated windows with modern, energy-efficient solutions.
9000 Series Windows: Comfort, Safety, and Efficiency
For this project, TWS of Indy supplied 9000 Series double-hung replacement windows, designed to deliver long-term performance and comfort.
These windows feature:
- Triple-pane glass
- Low-E coatings
- Argon gas fills
- Performance that meets or exceeds ENERGY STAR® Most Efficient ratings
The result? A warmer, quieter home office and improved year-round comfort for Jonathan and his family — without sacrificing the charm of their historic home.
Partnering with Rebuilding Together to Make a Difference
This project is part of a national initiative between The Window Source and Rebuilding Together, a leading nonprofit dedicated to:
- Providing essential home repairs
- Revitalizing communities
- Helping homeowners remain safely in their homes
Through this partnership:
- The Window Source donates $1 for every window and patio door sold to Rebuilding Together
- Local dealers, like Johnnie Ray Pennington of The Window Source of Indy, contribute products and labor to their communities
- Support reaches low-income homeowners, senior citizens, and veterans nationwide
